Multiquark Systems in a Constituent Quark Model with Chiral Dynamics

چکیده
We discuss the stability of multiquark systems within the recent model of Glozman et al. where the chromomagnetic hyperfine interaction is replaced by pseudoscalar-meson exchange. We find that such an interaction binds a heavy tetraquark system QQq̄q̄ (Q = c, b and q = u, d) by 0.2−0.4 GeV. This is at variance with results of previous models where ccq̄q̄ is unstable. Stability of Multiquark Systems
We give a brief review of developments in the field of exotic hadrons formed of more than three quarks and/or antiquarks. In particular we discuss the stability of multiquark systems containing heavy flavours. We show that the gluon exchange model and the chiral constituent quark model based Goldstone boson (pseudoscalar meson) exchange give entirely different results.

متن کاملHeavy-flavour Pentaquarks in a Chiral Constituent Quark Model
Within the chiral constituent quark model of Glozman and Riska, we discuss the stability of heavy pentaquarks, i.e. hadrons containing four light quarks and a heavy antiquark. The spin-dependent part of the Hamiltonian is dominated by the short-range part of the Goldstone-boson-exchange interaction. We find that these systems are not bound, having an energy above the lowest dissociation thresho...

The quark model describes mesons and baryons in terms of constituent quarks. Mesons are qq̄ states and baryons are qqq, while all the other combinations of quarks, such as qqq̄q̄, qqqqq̄, are called exotic. The constituent quarks must be effective degrees of freedom which are valid only in low energy regime. They must have the same conserved charges as the QCD quarks: baryon number 1/3, spin 1/2, c...

In most models, mesons consist of quark -antiquark pairs moving in a confining potential. However, it would be interesting to consider the effect of an extra residual interaction by introducing the quark particles which contain a dependent spin and isospin. In the Chiral constituent quark model, the hyperfine part of the potential is provided by the interaction of the Goldstone bosons, which ...
